48 Hours on the Marin Coast

48 Hours on the Marin Coast

October 28, 2016

Before we shot our Fall collection in Marshall, CA, we played hooky for a few days and took a little road trip up the coast to scope out locations. Along the way we discovered some of our favorite coastal towns and the best things to do if you have 48 hours to spend north of San Francisco.

First stop, Bolinas: The charming town is about an hour's drive north of the city. Make sure to pay close attention to your navigation because most signs to the town are non-existent- the locals like to keep their picturesque town as hidden as possible! Start your day at the Tamalpais Surf Club and rent a surfboard and wetsuit and head down to the beach. When you need a break from the sun, head into town for fish & chips and a glass of rosé at the Coast Cafe. It's a fun spot that on Thursdays & Sundays offers live music!

Spend the afternoon exploring the little town and be sure to pop into the Bolinas Gallery, which features interesting pieces from regional artists.

Day Two: After exploring Bolinas, continue up the coast to the Tomalas Bay region. Pass through Point Reyes and grab a sandwich or a cheese plate at Cow Girl creamery. Continue north and you'll hit Tomales Bay where we had the most beautiful and delicious lunch at Hog Island Oyster Co. We cruised up to Hog Island on a weekday, but Thursday - Sundays seem to be pretty packed- definitely make a reservation and plan to stay awhile, it's beyond gorgeous and the oysters and wine were perfection.

Hope you have as much fun as we did! Cheers!
