48 Hours in Big Sur

48 Hours in Big Sur

June 23, 2016

Last weekend Lane and I skipped down to Big Sur to celebrate our anniversary & relax! We left San Francisco early Saturday morning and enjoyed every minute of the 2.5 hour drive down south. Losing cell service a little bit beyond Carmel was the best feeling and kicked off a weekend of being uplugged (minus an instagram or two ;). Our first stop was Big Sur bakery where we sat outside and had a great lunch. We stayed at Ventana Inn (photos below)- and fell in love with the tranquil resort and low-key vibe of the whole place. The baths and spa were amazing- I didn't want to leave! We only had one night in Big Sur, so we stayed at Ventana for dinner and our meal was absolutely divine!

The next day we woke up and after a dip in Ventana's Japanese baths, we packed up and drove down to Andrew Molera park for a hike out to the beach. The views all along the coast of Big Sur are so breathtaking and this hike was no exception.

After our hike we hopped in the car and continued north with a quick stop at Rocky Point restaurant for a late lunch before getting back to our little Tate! The views there were beautiful, once again, and we loved sitting outside along the cliffs! (the food wasn't anything special- so if nothing else, just stop in for a glass of rosé!) We had a great time and can't wait to get back!
